First we take a walk along the highway to the old capital La Laguna. Protected by global nature since 1999 (UNESCO). Here we visit the local farmers' market where you can find a little bit of everything, and in particular all the different Canarian potatoes
.Then we head to the famous Mercedes Laurel Forest, and start in Cruz del Carmen for a very pleasant walk with 360º views. It's spring here all year round and the environment is incredibly green. In addition, in the Anaga area we have time for a small trail with views of the city of Taganana
.Now we arrive at the northern end of the Playa del Roque de las Bodegas island, known for the export of local wine. After a short photographic break, we drive back through the Anaga mountains to the south where we find the first beach built (Las Teresitas) with sand from the Sahara desert. Here we have time to take a walk or have a coffee on one of the pleasant terraces overlooking the sea and several palm trees
.We passed the capital city of Santa Cruz with its enormous port, an area of approximately 12 km where all these gigantic cruise ships dock. We took the last stop in the city of Candelaria, known for the Basilica with the Black Virgin that opened in 1959. The former Guanche kings also reside here next to the black lava beach and a small shopping street
